Role Overview

The Business Development & Grants Manager will lead business growth initiatives across CME and independent medical education (IME) programs. This role involves identifying funding opportunities, developing grant proposals, managing client relationships, and ensuring alignment with accreditation standards.

The ideal candidate combines strategic insight, strong scientific acumen, and exceptional communication skills to secure educational funding and partnerships that support impactful CME/IME programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate grant opportunities across therapeutic areas and accredited partners.
• Lead the end-to-end development of grant proposals, including concept development, needs assessments, outcomes frameworks, and budgets.
• Collaborate with scientific, editorial, and education teams to ensure proposal accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry sponsors, foundations, and educational partners.
• Track and manage proposal submissions, outcomes, and reporting deliverables.
• Contribute to revenue forecasting and pipeline tracking.
• Support development of capability decks, partnership materials, and business presentations.
• Stay current on CME/IME trends, ACCME standards, and therapeutic priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in life sciences, healthcare, communications, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in CME/IME grants, business development, or medical communications.
• Proven track record in writing and managing successful grant submissions.
• Strong understanding of CME/IME funding landscape and compliance requirements.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and writing skills.
• Proficiency with CRM tools, project tracking, and Microsoft 365/SharePoint.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to communicate across internal and external teams.
